Nadia Washington is a seasoned nonprofit executive and community engagement strategist with more than 20 years of experience leading high-impact programs that strengthen families, advance health equity, and build sustainable community partnerships. Throughout her career, she has directed multimillion-dollar initiatives, guided diverse, high-performing teams, and collaborated with municipalities, faith-based organizations, and national nonprofits to deliver measurable outcomes across multiple states.
Most recently, Nadia served as Associate Director of Volunteer and Community Engagement at KABOOM!, where she partnered with executive leadership to shape national engagement strategy, oversee large-scale community infrastructure projects, and manage more than $10 million in programming. In this role, she supervised professional staff and coordinated over 5,000 volunteers supporting 70 community playground builds, while strengthening organizational systems, policies, and stakeholder communications.
In parallel, Nadia has worked as a contractor with Matthews Memorial Baptist Church in Washington, DC, leading operational frameworks for opioid-related health equity initiatives. She has overseen the responsible allocation of public funding, secured more than $700,000 in grant support, and represented organizations to funders, media, and community stakeholders. Her work emphasizes sustainability, change management, and long-term community impact.
Previously, Nadia held national leadership roles with Be Strong Families, where she directed training operations supported by $2 million in annual funding and expanded access through innovative hybrid and virtual models. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Community Engagement with Net Community Care and Greater Saint Matthew Baptist Church, leading initiatives that reached tens of thousands of families annually through education, health, and advocacy programming.
